Hey everyone, I hope you're doing well. Sorry for not posting last week, but I've been under the weather. Even though I'm feeling a bit better now, I'm still not at 100% and my productivity has taken a bit of a hit. Grammarly was kind enough to point it out too.
I also started reading the Malazan Book of the Fallen series by Steven Erikson. I'm currently starting book 5 and let me tell you, my brain has melted. Hence the shorter post this week.
It's a complex and intricate story, with multiple plotlines and a large cast of characters. Straight away it feels like being shot out of a cannon while the cannon is strapped to a rocket! But, I'm absolutely loving it and it's been a great source of inspiration for my own writing.
Today, I was finally able to sit down and edit a short story I've been working on. It's not perfect, but I've come to the realization that if I don't draw the line somewhere, I'll be editing it forever. It's a good lesson to “know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em”, as the kids used to say. I'm looking forward to sharing it with all of you once it's done.
