I'm am curious as to why you chose the title "Hope." I have a couple ideas, but I'd to ask you, if you don't mind.

Hey, no worries. When I first saw the image that was my initial impression. Hope, hope for humanity, hope for the future etc. But when I looked closer at the picture, the landscape resembled an open-cut mine. So for me, that was the cost of that future.

I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on the image.

Honestly, that you called it Hope because of the image never crossed my mind, I was thinking it was based off of what you had written.

Looking at it again, there definitely is hope, I think. My first thoughts always are that it looks like those fifties space novels such as Starborn and The Stars are Ours by Andre Norton.

I was guessing if the title came from the fact that your character had hope when he was little, or if it came from him having lost hope, or if it was the hope of the children who would become like him.

Thank you for getting back to me! As I was guessing, your reason was not what one I had thought of.
